The terms and conditions set out below will apply to the relationship between you and Tijosa Eco-House Camp from the moment the booking is requested until the end of the accommodation period at the hotel.
In the event of any omissions from these terms and conditions, Portuguese legislation will apply.
1. General Conditions
1.1 The content presented on this site may be inaccurate or outdated. Tijosa Eco-House Camp may, without notice, make changes or corrections to the information published.
1.2 Maximum occupancy of the rooms and suites is 2 adults, 1 child in an extra bed and a crib. In case two cribs are needed, it will not be possible to place an extra bed.
1.3 The use and stay at Tijosa Eco-House Camp facilities are allowed only to the number of guests mentioned in the reservation.
1.4 The dress code in all public areas of Tijosa Eco-House Camp is smart casual. Guests are only allowed to be in swimwear in the pool area, changing rooms and pool access bar counter. When frequenting any other public area, they are required to be fully clothed and in accordance with our policy.
1.5 The Tijosa pool is not guarded. It is your responsibility to ensure its safety.
1.6 Tijosa Eco-House Camp provides free internet access.
1.7 Tijosa Eco-House Camp provides guests with free private parking.
1.8 Tijosa Eco-House Camp provides a safe in all rooms and suites where valuables can be stored. The hotel is not responsible for any items, luggage, or personal belongings of guests left in the room or outside the hotel.
2. Rates and Invoicing
2.1 The price of the stay will be charged per night/room. The price includes accommodation, breakfast, cleaning and taxes.
2.2 The prices and amounts indicated include VAT.
2.2 Rates may change according to seasonal or festive periods (Carnival, Easter, holidays, Christmas, New Year’s Eve).
2.3 Invoices are issued by default as final consumer. If you would like an invoice with your tax information, please ask us at the time of booking or at check-out.
Afterwards it will not be possible to issue an invoice with your tax information for accounting reasons.
3. Reservations
3.1 Reservations are accepted through our website at www.tijosaecohouse.pt, by email: info@tijosaecohouse.pt or by telephone +351 960 451 489.
3.2 The booking confirmation implies a deposit of 50% of the total value of the stay, the remaining value will be paid directly at the hotel (check-out).
If the deposit is not made and confirmed within 2 working days Tijosa Eco-House Camp reserves the right to immediately cancel the reservation.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
We have a very limited room capacity, so cancelled reservations affect us significantly. For this reason we maintain a strict cancellation policy.
4.1 Reservations are held for 2 working days without charge.
4.2 Reservations may be cancelled up to 30 days prior to arrival at no additional charge, and the client will get a full refund of the deposit;
4.3 Reservations cancelled up to 10 days before arrival are subject to penalty, and the client will get a partial refund of 50% of the deposit.
4.4 Reservations cancelled after 10 days prior to arrival date will be penalized and the total deposit will not be refunded.
4.5 In case of no-show, same day cancellation or early departure, 100% of the stay will be charged.
4.6 Cancellations of reservations in periods of campaigns or special seasons (Carnival, Easter, holidays, Christmas, New Year’s Eve), are not refundable, nor allow changes.
5. Schedules
5.1 Check-in can be done from 15.00 on the day of arrival, and check-out until 12.00 on the day of departure.
5.2 For late arrivals (after 20.00), it is important to inform the hotel of your expected arrival time.
5.3 If after 12.00 noon on the check-out day the room/suite has not been vacated, an additional night will be charged.
6. Smoking Policy
In accordance with Portuguese legislation, Tijosa Eco-House Camp, operates a NO SMOKING policy within all indoor areas including: rooms, suites and indoor public areas. For guests of Tijosa Eco-House Camp, who do not comply with our NO SMOKING policy, a fee of 400€ will be added to their bill to facilitate the cost of cleaning all soft furnishings to remove tobacco odor. If the odor affects the sale of the room the guest will also be responsible for paying the daily Best Flexible Rate while the room is locked and unsold. Designated smoking areas have been assigned within the exterior grounds of Tijosa Eco-House Camp – please inquire upon check-in. Thank you for your cooperation with this No Smoking Policy.
7. Children and Infants
7.1 Children 12 years of age or younger, must be accompanied by a responsible adult in all public areas to ensure that the child’s behavior is appropriate.
7.2 Cribs are available upon request, and 1 crib can be placed per room with an extra bed, or 2 cribs without an extra bed.
8. Catering
8.1 All room rates include daily buffet breakfast per person served in the restaurant.
8.2 No food or drinks purchased outside of Tijosa Eco-House Camp are allowed in the public area.
9. Pets
9.1 Pets are only allowed on the restaurant terrace on a leash, except guide dogs which are allowed to circulate in the common areas, together with their owners, who are responsible for their permanence.
9.2 Any disturbances such as barking, howling, aggressiveness or bad behavior must be avoided to ensure that other customers are not disturbed. Pet owners must present their vaccination booklet and chip. Pet owners will be solely responsible for their pets and liable for possible compensation due to complaints or disturbances. Pet owners will be fully responsible for all property damage or personal injury resulting from their pet.
10. Complaints and Responsibilities
Any comments or complaints regarding the stay, should be made at the reception or to the Service Director of Tijosa Eco-House Camp at the time of the visit, so that the matter can be resolved immediately.
Tijosa Eco-House Camp reserves the right to charge guests for the cost of rectifying damage caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act, omission, default or negligence of guests in relation to Tijosa Eco-House Camp property or structure. If this damage is detected after the guest’s departure, Tijosa Eco-House Camp reserves the right to charge the guest’s credit card or send an invoice for the damage.

Tijosa Eco-House Camp accepts no responsibility for services provided by third parties to guests, although such services may be arranged by Tijosa Eco-House Camp. Any claim, demand, charge, suit or damages that may be incurred by guests claiming there under shall be made directly to such third party and Tijosa Eco-House Camp shall provide all assistance
reasonable assistance in this regard.
