History and Identity
Ovar is known as the Living Tile Museum, by the amount and diversity of
tiled facades of the century XIX/XX existing. The tile is thus an identity element
distinctive and differentiating and with history in the municipality of Ovar. The identification of Rua do Azulejo
Tile started from this cultural heritage, putting it in focus, honoring it
and… recreating it.
